Give your child a summer of adventure and discovery at Atlanta’s science and nature experience! Fernbank’s Summer Camps consist of week-long sessions for ages 5 – 13. Fernbank educators guide campers on explorations of the scientific world through a variety of hands-on experiences.
Registration: Opens February 3 at 10am for members and February 10 at 10am for non-members. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space sells out quickly.
Cost: Week-long camps are $300 for members; $350 for non-members.
Hours: Camp runs daily 9am to 4pm. Drop off runs 7:45am – 9am and pick up runs 4pm – 4:15pm.
AfterCare: AfterCare runs from 4pm – 5:30pm and costs $15 per day or $60 for the week. Only full-week AfterCare registration is available online. Partial-week AfterCare registration will be available on-site during the week of camp.
Cancellation policy: After May 22, 2020, no refunds will be issued. Exceptions may be made for documented medical reasons. A $50 non-refundable administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations.

Day Camps (ages 5 – 7 and ages 8 – 10):
Day Camps include games, activities, and crafts centered around the theme of each day, and the themes repeat each week. Examples for 2020 include:
Slowpokes Day— Campers will discover the strange world of Earth’s slowest animals. Activities may include making snail slime and meeting Fernbank’s resident slowpoke: the turtle.
Fantastic Physics Day—Campers will explore the forces which shape our world and the simple machines humans have made to use forces to our advantage. Activities may include experiencing simple machines in WildWoods and making marshmallow catapults.
Paleontology Day—Campers will take on the role of paleontologists studying ancient life. Activities may include a mystery animal fossil dig and role playing a game of Mammoth and Smilodon tag.

You must select a week that corresponds with your camper’s age (must be within this age range by the first day of camp):

Ranger Camps (Ages 11 – 13):
Ranger Camps explores forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and native plants and animals in Fernbank Forest. This outdoor camp features hands-on activities including mapping and orienteering, water quality testing, and forest species surveys.
